Our story began in 1967 when Francesco Feriseri founded a mechanic's workshop in Agnosine. Over the years he started to feel the desire to turn the experience he gained during the years into a product that could be unique and identifiable: for this reason in 2002 he created the trademark Fer Metal.
The company keeps looking for new solutions and innovative products, moving toward a wide horizon, without losing its origins and traditions. Fer Metal thoroughly safeguards its high-quality productive process, in order to be competitive in a more and more globalised scenario: a niche market that requires absolute quality. Fer Metal is specialized in the design, production and sale of railings and in high-quality stainless steel.
Recently Fer Metal, which is well established in national and international markets, has launched a new line of stainless steel accessories for sliding doors, projecting roofs and other accessories for glass, including two innovative products that have been patented: Fedor hinge and Soft Block system.
The stainless steel railings, handrails and parapets are designed, realised and assembled by Fer Metal that, thanks to quality of its products and the experience gained over the years, represents nowadays the national leader in the production of stainless steel modular systems.
Thanks to Fer Metal, the stainless steel railings turn into real pieces of furniture in which the functionality of a resistant material is combined with a modern and neat design.

Stainless steel is an alloy that contains iron and carbon, which combines the strength of the steel with a strong resistance to corrosion. These materials don't corrode thanks to a content of some elements in the alloy, mainly chromium, that protects the underlying metal from outer chemical agents.
In particular, for our stainless steel railings, Fer Metal uses austenitic stainless steel (AISI 304 and AISI 316), which contains nickel, chromium, a low content of carbon and molybdenum.
Thanks to its intrinsic properties, this material allows to produce stainless steel railings with a great resistance to corrosion and a high structural strength.
Finally, thanks to the wide choice of possible finishes, the stainless steel railings made by Fer Metal are easily adaptable to any kind of building and provide a perfect complement for steel or glass stairs.

Glass sliding doors are elegant and versatile pieces of furniture; Fer Metal has developed a stainless steel system for glass doors: it is installed outside the wall, the sliding shutter is positioned externally and runs on a track which is parallel to the wall and it has an innovative device for the shutters' block called SOFT-BLOCK.
The most important element of this type of door is thus the sliding system: the technical core of the door in which it is possible to understand the high quality of a certified and long-lasting product; the common systems available nowadays f on the market are provided with a simple mechanical door's block whereby the door bumps and usually bounces back in the opposite direction so that the door doesn't close properly.
The SOFT-BLOCK system designed by Fer Metal is made using an innovative oil-magnetic “play” that controls the door's impact softening it and allowing a perfect and safe closure and opening of the door.
Glass sliding doors provided with the SOFT-BLOCK system can be adapted to a wide variety of installation sites and design needs improving the door from an aesthetic point of view, while complying with modern standards. As a result they can fit perfectly in elegant spaces.
They can be used not only to divide and connect rooms, but also as shutters for walk-in-closets, customizing aesthetically the piece of furniture, or as modular dividing walls in offices, professional studios and shared spaces.
